Sedgemoor Tag finals (1/5/08)
The finals of the Sedgemoor Area Primary Schools ‘Tag to Twickenham’ tournament took place at Bridgwater Rugby Club on May 1st and proved to be a huge success.
In excess of 120 year 6 (aged 10 and 11) pupils took part and the referees were Year 11 pupils provided by Chilton Trinity School in Bridgwater.
After a most enjoyable and keenly contested afternoon of Tag Rugby the eventual final was contested between Westonzoyland and Berrow Primary. An exciting, end-to-end game ended drawn at full time with Berrow winning in extra time by one try.

The national and local league rugby fixtures may have come to a close but the season is far from over as far as Bridgwater and Albion Rugby Club is concerned.
Over the next few days there is a lot of rugby action for local supporters of the oval ball game to watch at the National League Three South side’s Bath Road Ground.
On Thursday May 1st, 12 primary schools from right across Sedgemoor will be competing in the Area Finals of the RFU’s ‘Tag to Twickenham’ tournament, with the winners going through to the district finals.

B&A RFC 16 - 15 Canterbury (19/04/08)
Match report by Tony Pomeroy
Bridgwater and Albion regained lost pride and some of their previous form with this narrow victory over Canterbury. The home side, despite missing their injured, influential skipper, Ben Purcell, and Royal Navy second row Marshall Cormack were much more lively than in recent weeks and were good value for their win.
The game started well for the home team. A defensive Canterbury kick was charged down and the resultant pressure brought a penalty for Bridgwater. Playing his last game for the club, Christian Wulff was entrusted with the kick and he made no mistake from 15m.

WSM III 12 - 0 Dirt-trackers
Match report by Mike Berry
Dirt-Trackers lose out on play-off place despite brave performance
The Dirt-Trackers journeyed to the seaside on Saturday in the knowledge that this match would settle the play-off place in Somerset 2 South. The home side had suffered a two point deduction for failing to fulfil a fixture earlier in the season and that may have cost them dear. However they were intent on ensuring success here and the composition of their side paid tribute to that. Albion had been inactive for three weeks since their last outing against Hornets – oddly enough they were also the home side’s last opponents the previous week.

Clifton 26 - 0 B&A RFC
Match report by Tony Pomeroy
The only consolation Bridgwater can gain from this debacle is that the win for Clifton gives them a lifeline to remain in National League rugby and could save Bridgwater travelling to Norfolk and/or the East End of London next season.
Although the score does not support the argument, Bridgwater had their share of possession and territory. However, their finishing proved very inept and their defence, which has coped quite well during the season, was found wanting far too often despite Tito Elisara putting in some very big tackles in midfield.

B&A RFC 7 - 18 Rosslyn Park
Match report by Richard Walsh
Bridgwater and Albion gave another very disappointing home performance
in front of a good sized crowd as they were beaten by Rosslyn Park in
National League Three South at Bath Road on Saturday.
In strong winds and at times driving rain, it was the visitors who adapted best to the difficult conditions throughout the game.
Kicking off with the wind behind them Rosslyn Park took the lead almost
immediately when a Christian Wulff kick was charged down to present
Tony Paul with a try between the posts that was converted by Richard
Mahoney.
