Nick Hill and B&A RFC - Press Release
Bridgwater and Albion RFC and their coach, Nick Hill, would like to correct any misunderstandings that may have arisen following misreported comments in local and regional press this week.
Nick Hill is not seeking, as reported, an urgent meeting with the club’s rugby committee. In fact, as Head Coach, Nick Hill has a seat on that committee. The Chairman of the rugby committee and the 1st XV manager both work very closely with Nick Hill and all three are in constant communication. All three are committed to working together for the benefit of the club and to ensure that the club has sufficient playing resources to compete in whatever league Bridgwater & Albion will be playing in next season.
The unfortunate financial position in which the club now finds itself has actually allowed the club to restructure its’ playing resources now rather than in the close season. The club now have half a season to form their players into a coherent unit and will then be able to start next season as a team rather than as a collection of individuals.
Everyone at Bridgwater & Albion is looking forward positively to the future and producing a playing standard of rugby that the Town and County can be proud of.
Anthony Pomeroy - Chairman of Rugby
